The Ms Fire & Wood backstory...

Ms Fire and Wood was born from Pinky’s desire for creative freedom and a deep love of food that is fresh, tasty, and free from additives. Every dish is prepared with the intention of recreating the comforting, warm inner glow often associated with Mum’s cooking. Pinky firmly believes that the best flavours always begin with fresh ingredients, treated with care and respect. Catering for those with special dietary requirements and intolerances, the menu caters for gluten free, dairy-free, egg-free and fodmap diets.

Chef Pinky is from Hong Kong and brings a rich background in Asian cuisine. She began cooking for her family at just six years old and later trained at the Institute of Culinary Excellence. Pinky’s Asian/ Western Fusion reflects a lifetime of experience, blending tradition with creativity and instinct.

Ms Fire and Wood celebrates flavour without compromise. You may (or may not) find similar meals elsewhere, but you won’t find the same flavours, wholesome ingredients or herbs. Like Mum, Pinky cooks from her own recipes which are created and refined over many years, and others lovingly handed down by mums and mentors along the way.

 

Ms Fire & Wood creates not only food for the soul, but food for wellbeing. Nourishing recipes influenced by traditional Chinese Food Therapy, drawing on practices of using Chinese herbs for health benefits.

From fire to wood, from heritage to heart  this is food made to be remembered.
